Our Mission is to Inspire Hope through Music
What happens when children not only dream but take action?
Eight finalists from The Voice Kids 2025 have decided to use their voices for something greater – for children suffering from poverty, war, hunger, or climate disasters.
Their joint song is a new interpretation of the legendary charity classic “We Are The World / We Are The Children” – and at the same time, a heartfelt appeal for compassion, unity, and humanity.
Each of the eight children adds their own unique touch to the original anthem, turning it into a moving yet modern pop song.
A Youth-Driven Impulse – With a Global Message
Forty years ago, We Are the World was written by Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson to raise aid for victims of the famine in Ethiopia.
Over 60 million US dollars were collected back then, demonstrating global solidarity.
Exactly 40 years later, We Are the Voice are re-recording this classic – with the voices of young talents who want to help shape their future.
“We want to show that we children and young people are not powerless. We can make hope and change visible,” says Ian (16), one of the participants with an authentic and heartfelt voice.
“Music connects people and generations – and we want to use the power of music to make a difference.”
Production & Proceeds
The eight finalists and their families have fully covered the production costs themselves.
The song was recorded and released independently – a project from the heart, free of commercial intent.
Half of all proceeds from performances, streaming, releases, and events will be donated to charity projects.
The other half will go toward further musical training and development of the eight young artists.
Additionally, We Are the Voice will perform at various charity events such as “Dein Festmahl.”
Interviews & Participation
The group is now available for interviews, radio & TV appearances, charity concerts, and collaborations with other artists.
Each participant brings a personal motivation – from solidarity and climate protection to the wish of giving visibility to children worldwide.
We Are The World by We Are The Voice will be available on all major streaming platforms starting October 25, 2025.
